Bio
An Aussie in Sydney.
My background, I am the Manager of Public Affairs at the NSW Environment Protection Authority. Formerly, I worked with 200 Australian climate scientists at the ARC Centre of Excellence for Climate Extremes. I have also consulted with some of Australia’s largest energy companies, worked for WWF-Australia, and was a newspaper editor for 15 years at the two largest media organisations in Australia.
When I’m not here for a laugh and a chat, I love going into rooms where I’m likely to encounter people who don’t think like me and engage in fascinating discussions in a civil way. I’ve met and made friends with people here I would never have otherwise met and listened bemused and amused in rooms that are completely outside my life and cultural experience. That to me is the best part of this app.
And just in case you are wondering (because some people do) I live in SW Sydney, Australia, on Dharawal Land, which is part of the Eora Nation.
