ਨੀਚਾ ਅੰਦਰ ਨੀਚ ਜਾਤਿ ਨੀਚੀ ਹੂ ਅਤਿ ਨੀਚੁ ॥
ਨਾਨਕੁ ਤਿਨ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਸਾਥਿ ਵਜਿਆ ਸਿਉ ਕਿਆ ਰੀਸ ॥
The lowliest of the lowly, the lowest of the low born, Nanak seeks their company. The friendship of great is in vain. For where the weak are cared for, There Thy Mercy rains
