In the face of growing Sikh resistance the Indian political establishment, led by Indira Gandhi, shifted gears from a policy of assimilation to annihilation. In June 1984, the Indian army invaded Sri Darbar Sahib and 56 other Gurdware.
The Never Forget 1984 Club will hold annual rooms every June celebrating Sikh resistance, remembering the thousands of Sikh civilians who were killed, and celebrating the resistance of the Khalsa.
