Planetary health is not food or diet specific, it’s PROCESS specific. 🌍🍴
Consumers have the power to change our food system with their individual purchases.
Sustainable is not enough.
We must regenerate.
Regeneration must be measured...
or it will be greenwashed.
Monocrop, ultra processed foods posturing as “climate friendly” are thriving on the spread of misinformation and false labeling. The planet/humanity doesn’t have time for more food lies.
Regenerative Agriculture can create lush systems brimming with life and habitat, heal our soils, replenish our water tables, influence microclimates, evade erosion, sequester carbon, create jobs, restore communities and lead to more nutrient dense food(from nature) that CAN feed the world.
We are creating alternative proteins in petroleum fueled labs and factories, pushing monocrop based biofuels, depleting our water tables, changing microclimates, creating nutrient deficient foods and vast food deserts - but NATURE can still win!
Let’s chat about sustainability as biodiversity, conservation in tandem w/ag, agrivoltaics, regen ag, apex and keystone species, agroforestry, permaculture, nature based climate solutions, ag tech, water, agroecology.
