Brooklyn Bugs works closely with universities, museums, and thought leaders to help explain why the UN’s FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization) endorses edible insects in their 2013 report, “Edible Insects: Future prospects for food and feed security.” This report, along with scientists and academia, explains why we should eat insects—they’re sustainable, nutrient dense, and can provide a livelihood for the billions of people that already consume insects around the world.
Our work also explains HOW to expand our understanding of insect protein—an ingredient with over two thousand species with widely drastic flavor profiles, textures, and functionality.
