As a child with narrow feet, my mother shopped specialty shoe boutiques for me. Sale associates made me feel special by carefully sizing me and bringing out boxes and boxes of shoes for me to try. The joy of finding the perfect pair, taking the lid off the box, followed by the tissue paper reveal and then twirling around in new shoes remains a joy🎉.
