I respect truth seekers. Some seek to stigmatize others to police the domain of acceptable dialog but who gets to judge the boundaries? For me, the first amendment philosophy places the burden of that determination with the listener.
I believe scientific practices are the best path to knowledge and the only path to a world of greater abundance. However, i acknowledge that scientific ideas have been used to justify incorrect and negative beliefs - as has religion. The fault for these errors rests with the people responsible for that motivated reasoning and justification of privilege. A continued, rigorous application of empirical scientific knowledge production is the best error correction method for the above type of error whereas, “theory” seems devoid of a corrective process once the shape of the power structure is frozen, ideologically, at the outset of the revolutionary struggle.
I worry that the west is loosing the ability to follow the science as it continues to demonstrate an ability to sensor politically inconvenient views. I am open to learning more in order to understand if these trends are transitory or secular.
My particular interest is to better understand why the thesis of the book “Cynical Theories” is wrong.

I try to keep a somewhat low profile.
I guess i have that common fear of public speaking, especially in rooms with people I respect.
I have a diagnosed anxiety challenge.
If i stammer or can’t formulate proper sentences i may be having a bit of a freakout.
I prefer to be the lowest IQ person in a room.
About
I resent the arbitrary use of power or control others. In CH i bristle when those with minority views, who are speaking in good faith from their POV, are mobbed or silenced. Please respect anyone willing to represent an unpopular view.
