Mr. R. Thirunavakkarasu – Director, Media4Agri, Coimbatore
R. Thirunavakkarasu is the Founder and Director of Media4Agri, Coimbatore. R.
Thirunavakkarasu a.k.a. Thiru, has been an active contributor to the field of media &
marketing for over a decade. However, it is his passion and commitment to the cause of
conservation and environmental protection that has steered him towards this unique
platform – Media4Agri.
With a Diploma in Computer Technology, Thiru began his career as a Project Coordinator,
promoting products of HLL, TATA & ITC. Then began Thiru’s involvement with the field of
conservation and environmental protection. OSAI, an NGO based in Coimbatore was the first
organization where Thiru was able to showcase his talents as a coordinator and eco-activist.
He worked closely with various stakeholder groups in various sectors such as organic farming,
social forestry, environmental awareness, sustainable agriculture, and other eco-friendly
initiatives.
Vadamalai Media Group was his next assignment; a pioneer in the publication of agricultureoriented info. His efficient management of their web portal www.agricultureinformation.com
was widely recognized. Agriculture Industry Survey and Valarum Vivasaya Tamizhagam are
two journals that Thiru was associated with; both address the needs of farmers, ecologists &
allied organizations.
Thiru’s ability to direct and manage the various facets of producing a film was evident in the
