-I was the first responder to my partner when he died by suicide in July 2018. I talk about it, because that’s the only way to stop the stigma. In his name, I now run a 501(C)3 nonprofit for Mental Health & Suicide Prevention dedicated to increasing suicide awareness and prevention through outreach, education, and improving mental health care accessibility ever since losing my love to suicide. We have a network of about 40k people on our Facebook group “Suicide Prevention Rocks” as well as a Podcast titled “Strengthening Lives With Love” (available everywhere).
