💔After the fall of Saigon in 1975, the general was sent to ‘re-education’ camp for 17 years during which time his wife and nine kids escaped the country by boat. He was later released in the 90s, joined his family in the US, re-married and died in 2020.
🎉 Proud to have trained BBC journalists in many overseas offices including Bangkok, Delhi, Jakarta, Kathmandu, Kyiv, Lagos, Nairobi and Seoul. I have also trained Radio Free Asia staff in DC via Skype.
📈Grew BBC Vietnamese Facebook page from 0 in 2011 to 1 million fans in 2014.
🧱Built BBC Vietnamese YouTube channel from virtually nothing in 2014 to some 50 million minutes watched a month in 2017/2018. It reached a million subscribers in April 2021.
