Our passion for craft beer originated in 2010 at first taste and then visiting breweries to learn more and reading everything about beer I could get my hands on. The name of the brand was inspired by a drama series called Boardwalk Empire and it resonated with me. Shortly after, Craft Beer Empire was launched. Our mission is to educate both communities and breweries by working together to share ideas and collaborate while supporting small businesses. We pride ourselves on being able to make connections and show our sense of community. Our brand offers opportunities and highlights the community by offering donations, special events and fundraisers to the locals while also showcasing women and minorities in the craft beer industry. We just released a Women of Color in Craft Beer, Houston Calendar. Highlighting everyday women who enjoy craft beer or who work in the industry. A portion of the proceeds will go towards the “Road to 100” initiative.
I first started with Hoptopic, a craft beer group about raising the awareness that people of color are involved in craft beer as much as anyone else. I discovered that my vision was more singular than plural. So, I started Craftbeerpire the be in control of all aspects of something that will Change the Face of Craft Beer.
