Certified UC/Los Angeles County Master Gardener and Master Food Preserver. Advisory board member of Food Forward, Southern California-based nonprofit that fights food waste by rescuing surplus produce. Partnering with 1800 agencies we feed 2 million underserved people annually in 8 SoCal counties. More than 220 million pounds of produce have been recovered and distributed in 11 years. In 2020 alone we pivoted to provide 60 million pounds of produce boxes and groceries to food insecure people devastated by COVID-19.
