Bio

As Former Deputy Director at the Mayor’s Office of Intergovernmental Affairs, Stacy Renae Lynch managed First Lady Chirlane McCray’s public affairs and the Mayor’s interaction with external government agencies and key community stakeholders like the NAACP, the New York Urban League, the Asian American Federation, the Black Institute, the National Action Network and Rainbow Push.

After spending nearly a decade in law and politics, Stacy knows what truly drives good government - and it’s not arbitrary policy-making.
It’s how well you connect with communities, constituents, and the people we serve. A lesson Stacy learned from her father Bill Lynch Jr. is that good policy is good politics. Bill, a major political player in New York City and National politics, became known as a coalition builder adept at bringing African-Americans into the political process. Often called the Rumpled Genius, Bill managed campaigns for David Dinkins, Hillary Clinton and Nelson Mandela.

Like her father, Stacy has developed genuine relationships in many different industries- from law, politics, corporate America and government. Having worked with the Tribeca Film Festival, Sony Pictures, Madison Square Garden, Mary J. Blige, Hillary Clinton, the Children’s Defense Fund, the National Basketball Association and the Latino Film Festival- Stacy understands the importance of coalition building.

One of her remarkable accomplishments includes creating an all-girls basketball league called the Junior Liberty League. In partnership with The New York Liberty and Madison Square Garden, the Junior Liberty League encourages young women in communities of color to participate in sports while being mentored by WNBA players.

Stacy holds a Bachelor of Arts from Hampton University and a Juris Doctorate from Quinnipiac University School of Law (QUSL). Stacy will run for public office, officially launching her campaign New York City Council in 2021.
