🧵 Venezuelan-born visual artist and educator based in Miami. Painting, installations, public art, applied art.

🤩 1977 Graduated from the IDD Design Institute Neumann Foundation, Caracas, the Bauhaus-inspired, school of graphic design in the Venezuela from the 70s.
🟧 My favorite book on color is: “Interaction of Color,” by Joseph Albers, 1963.
🇫🇷 When I was living in Paris in the 80s I had the privilege of experiencing more than once this extraordinary “Les Immatériaux.” The landmark exhibition curated by Jean-François Lyotard and Thierry Chaput took place at the Centre Pompidou in 1985. A philosophical, spatial and multi-sensorial approach to matter, material, matrix, and materiality. This exhibition influenced greatly my views on art.
🎬 Some films back in my 20s: India Song, by Marguerite Duras; Blade Runner, by Ridley Scott; Brazil, by Terry Gilliam; Mad Max, by George Miller; Stalker, by Andrei Tarkovsky; Fanny and Alexander, by Ingmar Bergman.
