Friends of Panthertown is a 501(c)3 non-profit โป๏ธ conservation and stewardship organization.
We protect and maintain Panthertown Valley, the โYosemite of the Eastโ, a treasured 10K acre backcountry wilderness and wildlife sanctuary.
A special place with dozens of waterfalls, ๐ฆ 30+ miles of public trails ๐ฅพ located on eastern continental divide within the Nantahala National Forest in western North Carolina near the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and Appalachian Trail, with ๐ฅ prized hiking, mountain biking, backpacking, camping, rock climbing, trout fishing, kayaking, and more.
