The Longer Spiel:
🔥 I’m learning to cultivate my faith at the nexus of knowledge, spiritual refinement, and application.

🏥 I have chaplaincy training from Saint Francis Hospital. I believe acknowledging others and understanding their circumstances brings out the best in them. Seldom are our situations “one size fits all.” Care for yourself before caring for others.

📚 I teach Qur’ānic Arabic for Fawakih Institute. Teaching and research is my passion!

🎓I have a MA in Religious Studies from the Hartford Seminary, during which I also studied at the Harvard Divinity School. My thesis was on how mental health was observed and treated historically within Islam. I also believe “intrafaith” is as important as “interfaith.” I have a BA in Psychology from Montclair State University.

🕌 I graduated with an ‘ālimiyya degree in Islamic Law and Theology from Nadwatul ‘Ulamā in Lucknow, India. I’m still a student seeking to expand my horizons in the Islamic sciences. It’s an ocean!

🗺 I was born and raised in New Jersey and currently reside in Istanbul, Turkey. I find joy in a freshly ground cup of coffee, a good conversation, or reading an enticing book!
