One day Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) noticed a Bedouin leaving his camel without tying it. He asked the Bedouin, “Why don’t you tie down your camel?”The Bedouin answered, “I placed my trust in Allah.” At that, the Prophet (ﷺ) said, “Tie your camel and place your trust in Allah” (Tirmidhi) The lesson from this hadith is that we need to use all resources available to us to solve our problems, and then trust Allah for the outcome as “Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves.” (Qur'an 13.11)
“History is a clock that people use to tell their political and cultural time of day. It is a compass they use to find themselves on the map of human geography. It tells them where they are but, more importantly, what they must be.” John Henrik Clarke
Affirmation:
... In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.
... It matters not how strait the gate, How charged with punishments the scroll, I am the master of my fate,
I am the captain of my soul.
