Today, we are facing many challenges in our black and brown communities associated with systemic racism, gun violence, the overturning of Roe v. Wade abortion laws and many more disparities. I am the author of Remembering the Year 2020: Year of the most National Challenges, which outlines and dissects the gaps in healthcare as well as the despairing effects of the Covid -19 vs. systemic racism pandemic which continues to infect our rural black and brown communities with countless heart break and pain in our families.
