Kunna has more than two decades of experience in food safety and quality assurance. She has a passion to help build food safety programs, identify risk, promote hazard awareness and establish preventive controls to reduce the risk of foodborne illness and injury. Kunna’s goal is to use her experience in a variety of industry sectors to solve real food safety problems globally and help close the gaps that currently exist by educating others on the importance of food safety and how it impacts each and every one of us.
Kunna has a BS in Chemistry from Virginia Commonwealth University and is currently pursuing her Master’s in Food Safety at Michigan State University. She’s certified in FSMA’s preventive controls qualified individual (PCQI) for Human Food, a certified Food Safety Manager, certificate Advanced HACCP Coordinator, ASQ Certified Quality Auditor, Food Defense Coordinator and an SQF Practitioner.
