Kaitlyn Furey on Clubhouse

Bio

Moved to Los Angeles in June of 2020 from Baltimore, Maryland to pursue a career in the film and music industry. My main focus at the moment is acting but I have aspirations for writing, directing, producing, and music direction. I have a preference towards dark dramas, social justice pieces, horror, psychological thrillers, and absurdist comedy. I like film that offers opportunities for expanded awareness and a shift in perception. A goal of mine for 2021 is to write and direct my first short film. On the music side of things, I’m a vocalist and songwriter. I write mainly on my acoustic guitar and have a decent understanding of piano. I’m currently in the beginning stages of learning music production on Logic. My plan is to release my first EP in early 2022. My style floats within the realms of metal, RnB, stoner rock, and dark pop.

Some of my other interests include yoga, rock-climbing, reading, and cooking. My spirituality is deeply intertwined with the way I live my life and I use the practices of tarot and astrology every day. I have a deep passion for social justice issues such as BLM, prison and policing reform, ending houselessness, and education inequality. My hopes for Clubhouse are to connect with people locally and globally that help me to grow as an artist, human, and activist.
