👨🏻⚕️Physician, serial entrepreneur, now Heathcare VC @ Third Culture Capital 🆒 www.3cc.io.
🩺 2nd generation physician. As the first son of an Asian immigrant doctor, trust me, my career options were very limited 🤓 📚. I was one of those cool geeks though... I think.
💉 Harvard-trained Interventional Nephrologist (a kidney doc). Was a co-founder of a VC-backed digital health startup that pioneered📱e-consults (RubiconMD, acquired for $130m). Then helped spin out a cancer 🧬 gene therapy biotech out of academia and took it public (NASDAQ: GNPX). Got a degree in Public Health along the way. It’s been a really fun journey so far!
🌍 I’m a TCK (Third Culture Kid) —> Vietnam-born, raised in France 🇫🇷, came to America to study English 30+ years ago. Dual citizen.

⚽️ Huuuge fan of Paris St-Germain! 🔴🔵 - grew up playing “foot” on the “bitume” of Paris. Sometimes in the “cour de récré” with a 🎾 ball. Remember getting the ball when it was stuck under a car? Or using backpacks as 🥅 goal posts? First news of the day. All day, everyday.
🐶 My Boston Terrier’s name is Phineas, named after Phineas Gage (b/c he had a wound to his forehead 🤕 when we adopted him).
