I am a covid survivor.
I have been a Long Covid sufferer since June 15th, 2020.
Two months into my illness, I began an Instagram account to document my recovery. Other Long Covid patients began connecting with me telling me that sharing my story made them feel less alone. This began my advocacy to spread knowledge and awareness about the lingering, debilitating effects of this disease, and how hard it can be to receive acknowledgment and proper care from a medical professional.
In October 2020, I created a local Long Hauler Support Group on Facebook called “ATX Covid Long Haulers”, run by several Austin-area Long Haulers, in which members offer emotional support and help one another navigate the medical system.
Prior to contracting covid, I was a completely healthy mom who worked full time. After being mostly bedridden for 6 months after falling ill, I gained a handful of invisible illnesses from covid which include (so far): dysautonomia, MCAS-like symptoms, chronic fatigue, post exertional malaise, chronic inflammation, PTSD, cognitive dysfunction, and possibly an auto-immune disorder.
I wrote, directed, shot, and edited a documentary called:
“My Long Covid Journey:
From a Caretaker’s Perspective”
in hopes to open people’s eyes about the harsh realities of being a long hauler mom and how it affects our children and loved ones around us.
You can see it on YouTube or find it on my Instagram page.

Not new to philanthropy, I am an Austin Advisory Board Member for my favorite non-profit called BIG Love Cancer Care - an organization that supports cancer kids and their families from the moment they are diagnosed.

I was recently hired by my functional medicine doctor to start working again on a very loose and flexible schedule. She is the doctor who has been on my journey with me the longest.
