He is currently General Manager for Elevated Roots & is in the process of opening a delivery service and planning to open social consumption lounge. Derek has over 20 years of experience in the Legacy market and he is a successful entrepreneur in the Travel, Entertainment, Food & Fashion Industries, he also has 10 years of experience in financial services, consulting, and mentorship.
He is a social equity applicant and advocates for those affected by the War on Drugs and aims to reduce the stigma surrounding cannabis while providing opportunities for others to benefit from the industry. In addition to his business ventures, Derek is also deeply committed to giving back to the community through his charitable efforts. He supports organizations such as Freedom Grow Forever, Marijuana Matters DC, Can Do Clemency, Project Mission Green, Life for Pot, Buried Alive Project, and Reform Alliance.
As a mentor, investor, and consultant, Derek brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the table. He has a background in financial services and is dedicated to helping others succeed in the industry.
