Education is my passion, schools and people are my favorite puzzles, and young people have my heart.

As my Pastor says, I am working on being “A prophet of the resistance not a chaplain to the empire.” I still have a long way to go and am grateful for the many who have honored me by sharing their insight and experience- with special gratitude to the Black women in my life.

Best development of 2020?
Getting to organize with former students of mine in the streets, the neighborhood, and the halls of our local government through the start of Richmond Revolution. The youth are our leaders NOW- not just in the future. We grown folks have a lot to learn and they have plenty to teach. We need to not only listen but get out of the way.
