Welcome to Diverse Reading (formerly Diverse Shelves) Same Great club, New Name! Here we will focus on making your bookshelves more diverse. Our mission is to diversify bookshelves by having book discussions amongst a diverse audience.
If your bookshelf is not diverse, you are not well read.

We want open conversations on books by authors in every space (genres, themes, topics). Part of being well-read includes reading books by #ownvoices (BIPOC, LGBTQ, etc). While there are no limitations on the types of books and/or authors discussed, we want to consistently dedicate space to amplify #ownvoices. We hope discussions in this space encourage you to try new books outside of your usual reading material.

This is a safe space. While we may not all agree, let’s be respectful and keep an open, healthy dialogue. Reading is reading, do you read a physical paper book? An e-book? An audiobook? You are a reader. To say otherwise is ableist and disregarding someone else’s experience. This is a safe space for all readers. And people, it’s one book love here. ❤️📚🤓
