Been making films around the world since studying as an exchange student in the African Literature Department of the University of Nairobi, Kenya, which opened my consciousness and awareness to many African and African Diaspora wisdoms, histories, cultures; as well as to colonialism, neocolonialism, and imperialism. Gris-Gris Films counters the negative images and information that mainstream media proliferates. Our films, many produced in Tanzania, speak to the heart, Traveled throughout east and north Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe and North America. Grandfather and father of a multi-culti family.
