Several physical agents are used in the therapeutic management of pain and paralysis.Indeed,some of these modalities,like heat have been used fromtime immemoral.Today,scientific application of electric current,heat and cold are gaining wide acceptance all over the world as front line modalities independently or in conjunction with drugs and surgery. Some of them are invaluable in regaining power and mobility and relief of pain.
