I live in Jersey - one of 4 children all brought up here
Apart from working in the island through my life , I’ve travelled extensively for pleasure and for long distance swimming ( currently called Open Water swimming) - and I’ve been all over the world swimming and now, coaching others
Among many other swims, I have swum the English Channel - 5 solo swims in 5 separate decades since 1975 - plus I completed a 2 way English Channel swim in 2016 - and became the oldest woman to do so gaining 2 Guinness World Records for both these facts
I was also awarded an MBE in 2016 for my Services to Long Distance Swimming
