Hi, I’m Dillon Menard. 29 years old, strutting through the fashion industry, currently residing in NYC. I live for fashion and die for magazines. I joke that I am the rain man of fashion- instead of numbers and endless archive of past and present designers and shows!
Currently fashion director at Lassalle Magazine, launching mid March ! @lassallemag (Instagram).
Roles at the mag include; Styling , pitching shoot themes and creative directions for editorial spreads to the team and designers who will be featured , writing editorial articles, writing and conducting interviews with designers and leading talent from several industries whether it be , film, costume design , fashion industry, music , etc..., pitching stories and keeping to date with current events to delegate to the writers, and much more. I’ve also done backstage dressing at shows like Vogue / CFDA runway presentations and several top designer Fashion Week shows ! Studied fashion design at Fashion Institute of Technology in NyC.
I embarrassingly follow the reporting son E! news closer than the ones on CNN - total pop culture junkie. Strongly inspired by the tabloid trouble makers of the early 00’s- as a young gay man growing up in small town Midwest - seeing those girls have rumors written about them daily and to my young eye - seeing them still go out and be fabulous despite what others said (though I know it wasn’t all glitz and glamour with hind sight ) truly inspired me to be who I am and not let others dictate that.
Have been through a lot in life - and had to fight extra hard to get to where I am now - forever thankful, blessed and take every opportunity to learn , grow , and share whether that is in my career or life.
