Educator and mother.

My background: There was a time when I could distinguish the metalwork produced in 13th century Mosul, northern Iraq, from those produced in Syria...Now I try to cater to the different backgrounds of my primary school student, trigger their prior knowledge. For example, teaching a group of Filipino students in Hong Kong the importance of biodiversity by presenting information about fishermen in Oslob, placing a sizeable hand-illustrated map of the Philippines in class, and observing as they lead the class in a discourse, enthusiastically raising their hand to read about the Filipino marine biologist working with fishermen to develop a sustainable practice.

Looking to connect with educators, add to the discussion. But primarily here to improve my Arabic.
