🇺🇸⚓️👮 Best Selling Author, Public Speaker, Disabled Veteran, retired 1st Responder, successful single mom, foster grandma, and crazy about my German Shepherds. 🐾🐾
My purpose:
I'm passionate about erasing the stigma of PTSD. Recent studies show 40-44 veterans commit suicide every day as a result of feeling alone. Equally tragic is the number of first responders dying by suicide for fear of seeking help. More 1st responders die by suicide than in all line of duty deaths combined.
Why??
Because the average person will experience 1 traumatic event in their life while the the average first responder will experience 8000 in a 20 year career and be expected to act as though that's normal. The human brain can only handle so much and everyone has a breaking point.
1989-1997 - US Navy
⚓️🐸 While in the Navy, I was fortunate enough to be assigned to a Navy SEAL Unit. During those years, I built friendships and bonds that would eventually save my life and build me into the woman I am today.
2021 - Retired from Law Enforcement Officer after serving for 21 years.
2020 - Authored Courageously Broken, a memoir about overcoming adversity and conquering the battle scars of life.

HU2H is an organization designed to help veterans and first responders find resources to help them overcome the challenges of PTSD. Additionally, HU2H supports organizations providing assistance to heroes in astounding ways. .
