Description

Some scientists dream to create computer simulations that reproduce the physics of our universe. Others desire to produce the most vital parts of it like intelligence, evolution, universal computation, and the relativistic concepts of energy, mass, and time.

We strive to find elegant, simple models that produce emergent complexity. We believe that the properties that make this universe special enough to support life are not complex - that they are simple information theoretic principles grounded in concepts like information, unitarity (reversible computation) and the duality that exists.

This duality manifests in many different areas.
In physics it is Mass-energy equivalence, E=mc^2
In kinetics, it is the duality between storage (potential energy) and movement (kinetic energy).
In computer science it is Homoiconicity, code as data, and data as code.
