“Chiya is Nepali word referring to “Tea” and Guff means “conversation”. Generally in Nepal there is a trend to have a cup of tea early in the morning and have the conversation of Nepal's current situation, personal thoughts on some topics with like minded people.
Chiya Guff is a common room available in Club House everyday beginning 7: 00 AM to 8:00 AM We just grab a cup of tea and start to listen as well as put our thoughts regarding general topics till the moment when the majority starts discussing a single intense topic. We then focus on the topic in hand until the end of the program. At the end of the program, the moderators join hands together to document what had been discussed earlier. Later on, we put those collective thoughts into the room’s official website http://www.chiyaguff.org. The best thing about Clubhouse is that everyone can open their mic and have their say. And we thought this would be a wonderful opportunity for youths like us to express ourselves even better without any fear of being judged.
The only two rules about Chiya Guff for the audience are:
Talk being a Nepali, not a politically driven person.
Keep it so simple that everyone can understand.
