The Pine Wind Hall is a place for considered conversation. 松風 matsukaze is a Japanese phrase meaning “pine wind” and is used to describe the sound a traditional Japanese kettle makes during the tea ceremony, a sound which is reminiscent of the wind blowing through pine trees. More than just coming together to drink tea, a Japanese tea gathering is is about the shared experience of everyone in the room, an exchange of culture, creativity, and contemplation.
