Bhojpuri is an Eastern Indo Aryan language native to Bhojpur-Purvanchal region of India and Nepal. It is chiefly spoken in Western Bihar, Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Western Jharkhand, Northeastern chhattisgarh, Northeastern Madhya Pradesh and Terai region of Nepal. It's also spoken widely in Mauritius, Fiji, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana, Jamaica, Netherlands and South Africa. It's a 1500 years old language and have a rich literature. It's a descendant of Magadhi Prakrit and sister language of Bangla, Assamese and Odia languages. Bhojpuriya Kaithi is the script of Bhojpuri language. Bhojpuri is a recognized national language in Nepal and official language in Fiji. It also have a second language status in Indian state of Jharkhand. In India, due to political bias it is included under Hindi in the census, but it have no direct relation with Hindi and is more older, have different grammar, vocabulary from Hindi. We want recognition of Bhojpuri language in Bhojpuriya Kaithi script in India. We want Bhojpuri to be the medium of education and official language of bhojpuri region, also railway, airports, etc. announcements in Bhojpuri language in Bhojpur-Purvanchal.
