Exvangelical on Clubhouse

Description

A discussion space for former or current evangelical Christians (by choice or otherwise) who have asked and are asking hard questions. We do not “reverse evangelize” in this club, but we do challenge the power inequity and abuse found in evangelical spaces. (Note: exvangelical is a term coined by Blake Chastain whom we will welcome as an admin at any point)
No Proselytizing: All stories are respected and heard here. No path is more valid. No person needs convincing. Empathy is key.
Zero-tolerance for Bigotry: This had better be obvious, but I’ll say it: We don’t speak over any marginalized persons—also note that their status may not be evident on the surface and we do not make people prove themselves.
Environment Matters: Mods, please foster anti-racist, anti-fascist, anti-shame, environments. Encourage conversational & empathetic discourse. Be mindful of loading emotional labor on anyone & recommend helpful resources.
