Over the course of 1+ year, 10s of 1000s of Tigrayan women & underage girls have been brutally raped and gang-raped by forces loyal to the genocidal Abiy Ahmed Ali [Ethiopian, Eritrean, and Amhara forces]. These forces deliberately infected many victims with HIV/AIDS. They inserted hot metalic rods to the genitals of the victims to make sure that they will never give birth to the future generations of Tigray. Nails, stones, plastics, pieces of metalic wires, papers, etc were inserted into the genitals of these victims. Many have been abducted and taken to military camps where they have been gang-raped by many soldiers and militiamen for weeks and months. They have been denied of food and water. They have been tied in the forests and gang-raped in front of the corpses of their sons and husbands. Many have been gang-raped at their homes in front of their sons, husbands, brothers, and fathers. In same cases, mothers were gang-raped together with their daughters; and sisters were gang-raped, too. We've been honoured to be able to speak with dozens of these victims. We deliverately use the word "victims" because they have not got the privilege of access to medical help. And hence we don't want to sugarcoat their agony with a fancier word "survivors". But, we're here to advocate for these women & girls of Tigray whom the world ignored for 11+ months now. We are here to be the voices for these victims who have been languishing to death under the shadows of Abiy Ahmed Ali's communications blackout and humanitaria siege on Tigray. We advocate for these victims so that they get urgent medical help and justice.
