We Got This Africa is a highly inspirational TV show shedding light on the challenges faced by the average woman, particularly those living in Africa.
Many stories of African women are shrouded in secrecy and considered “best left unsaid”; stories about their sexuality, childbirth, access to healthcare, physical and emotional abuse, depression etc are hushed.
We believe sharing our stories and speaking up is the first step to getting help, demystifying these
topics as well as beginning a process towards behavioural change on some of these issues.
On this show, award winning broadcaster, Naa Ashorkor, interacts with guests who have survived difficult life circumstances. They share the story of their struggles, how they have overcome them and end by encouraging others in similar circumstances that “they’ve got this”.
