Only 9% of American veterans are women. These veterans often feel alone while on their recovery journey back to everyday life. It’s also easy for the average civilian to feel that they are solo-trekking through life. An important lesson learned is, no battle should be fought alone. This is the inspiration behind the Women of War podcast (WOW).

U.S. military veteran and film director, Nuria Dixon has first-hand experience serving in 2003 Operation Iraqi Freedom. She believes that female veterans lack the spaces and the platform to share their stories, which further isolates them from society.

Join Nuria Dixon as she invites a new veteran to each episode of this podcast. They will shed light on important topics and issues faced by veterans when adjusting to motherhood, military relationships, identifying and coping with mental illnesses, entrepreneurship after serving, family dynamics, and many more!
