Wael Doukmak on Clubhouse

Bio

An entrepreneur with a diverse set of skills, serves as a Strategy Growth advisor. Previously Wael served as the co-founder and CEO of Rillet, a new on-demand children’s video streaming service. Prior to starting Rillet, Wael was senior director at Ooredoo in Qatar where he started a new business unit responsible for leading the transformation of the telecom operator. Wael’s team at Ooredoo actively designed smart solutions mapped to business objectives across all industry verticals, mega projects and smart cities.
Wael’s experience dates back to the mid-eighties when he wrote software programs for small manufacturing, retail and nonprofit organizations. In 1995, Wael launched an ISP operation in the USA and transformed it into a Managed Services Provider before moving, in 2007, to Saudi Arabia to lead the Managed Services practice at Cisco.

Wael received a B.Sc. in Pharmacy and an associate degree in Computer Science from the University of Damascus and became a Ph.D. candidate in Pharmaceutics at the University of Georgia. He has Executive Education Certificates in Value Creation from HEC and in Strategy and Innovation from MIT. In August of 2018, Wael received his Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching and Organizational Development from the University of Texas at Dallas. In 1999, Wael was nominated by the Athens Georgia Chamber of Commerce for the Small Businessperson of the year award.

An active Arabic translator and interpreter, Wael is accredited by ATA. As an adjunct professor of Arabic at the University of Georgia, Wael taught Arabic between 1996 and 2005.
