Life is beautiful and wonderful beyond comprehension.

We live in the best of times throughout life’s existance. Yet people are lost, people think life has no meaning, that nothing they do is worthwhile, that the world is fundamentally broken, that they will die lonely and poor. This is not what the next generation should be thinking, this is not a sound mind to build the future on.

Ideas, religion, makes us transcend the suffering of the perceived reality. When the world sucks the idea of something better is what drives us. However, when people have no idea of whats worthwhile and have no broad ideas on how to act the world just brings them down. We search for truth, we yearn for meaning. Many feel that the religions of our ancestors does not make sense anymore. Others try to fill their lives with the meaning of hollow ideologies. None work. We live in the best of times, yet we are more lost than ever before.

But not all those who wander are lost. Humanity is and always has been on a Great Journey through our shared existence. The individual Journeys of each human that has ever lived and ever will live constitutes that Great Journey. But every Journey which has a beginning can have an end. We humans have now come to a crossroads on our Great Journey; one path leads to doom and the end to all life that we know of. The other leads to salvation, a man made paradise as we transcend into godhood together.

The final end of all life is when the sun expands and swallows the Earth and all life that exists. Only we humans can stop this from happening. Throughout all of life’s existence only we humans have had the potential to grab fire from the gods, to with science and technology transcend and become the gods whom which can protect all life from the coming dooms. We humans are therefore the custodians of Earth and life itself. We choose how our Great Journey will end. This is the meaning of us.

Now we must all choose our own paths in life, which roads to thread, and which not, each life a Journey. Either we grasp the fire from the gods, or we perish and let all life die with us.

I don’t know were the Journey begun, I don’t know were it will end. I know the road is lined with hardship. But i have faith in that the destination is salvation, that we can go there together. We must try.

This is the way.
