Tyrone "Tye" Taylor is a professor of business administration and Talent Management Consultant. Tye has over 25 years of experience as a leader in Talent Management and HR at companies such as ESPN/Walt Disney Company, Viacom/CBS and their associated companies such as MTV, VH1, BET, Nickelodeon, and Paramount Pictures. He also worked as the Director of HR at Cablevision Systems Corporation/Altice and interim VP of HR for The John Gore Organization in NYC. Over the past few years, Professor Taylor has spent the past seven years as an entreprenuer working as an HR and Small Business Consultant in entertainment, media, asset security, non-profit, insurance, and environmental engineering industries.
Professor Taylor holds a Master of Arts degree in Adult Education and Training from the University of Phoenix, a Mini-MBA in Finance from Rutgers University, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Oregon State University. He is a motivational speaker, a certified trainer in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusive Leadership, a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated, Society of Human Resources Management, and active in the community where he coaches young adults on entrepreneurship strategies and business development.
Professor Taylor was an Associate Professor at the Institute of Audio Research in New York City for three years where he taught Artist Management in the Business of Music and Entertainment. This is his second year as a Professor at Kean University teaching business management, entrepreneurship, and HR Management.
Fun Fact
Professor Taylor is the father to a set of college age twins, a former Division 1 college athlete, and has worked with great names in the entertainment industry. His advice to students.... "don't sweat the small stuff that's out of your control. Focus on the task at hand and give that task your all while finding the fun in process."
