Also, I am obsessed with genealogy 🤓 & determined to trace as far back as I can. 🌱 The storytellers of my family were long gone before I hit puberty and REALLY gone by the time I pondered the question “Where am I actually from?” 🤔
Through DNA testing with a company called African Ancestry, I know I am 99% Cameroonian 🇨🇲 (specifically of the Bamileke Tribe) on my mother’s side! However, I was unable to trace African ancestry on my paternal side. My results were 100% European - Spanish 🇪🇸 & Portuguese 🇵🇹 specifically.
So now I want U.S. documents, proof, records... definitive evidence for as far back as I can go. 👵🏾 Ultimately I would LOVE to find the 🚢 so I could trace the voyage.
