Nothing could prepare me for the death of my son Elijah. When your body crushes the being growing inside of you, how are you really supposed to process that? Let me share my technique with you.

I wrote. Then I grew. Then I wrote, and I planted. I grew some more. Then I wrote, and I grew even more plants. Each plant that I nurtured reminded me of Elijah. When I grew plants, I felt triumph and calm. I learned that when a baby dies inside you, its genetic material stays for a while after. Your baby becomes a part of you, growing with you. Just like when plants die; become the soil's nutrients, and help bring new life again. Now, I help women plant, write, and tell their stories because miscarriage sucks. And no one should ever have to experience child loss alone.
