My name is Kimani Okearah! I am a Cognitive Linguist, first and foremost. #Descriptivism is the way! My research is focused on exploring human communication as a hive mind, and from that paradigm, there are three notions I endorse:

 🗣 Language and its performance is not innate or exclusive to the homo-sapien, essentially meaning that humans are not the arbiters of 'sentience.' The idea of 'sentience' is the first seed of supremacist thought. Ask me about the "Okearah Approach to the Umwelten of Humanity."

 🎶 Humans build context through pattern recognition, meaning that every piece of information we are able to consciously / subconsciously understand relies on our individual and group awareness of patterns. The meaning I'm intending to share with you here is reliant on patterns of symbols in an arrangement. Everything we see is actually our cognitive interpretation of light waves - patterns. Ask me about the "RADAR Conundrum."

 💓 The emotions we experience are also pattern-based in that we are experiencing chemical reactions in our brain. I endorse UC Berkeley Professor George Lakoff's work with 'emotional embodiments,' and am developing companion research focused on approaching our embodiments with a sense of control and power.
