[ DYING TO LIVE, LIVING TO DIE ]

I am stuck in life's lift,
suffocating from its tight fist.
My hope has taken a drift,
by life's depressing twists.
I am head-less and in bounds,
voice-less - can't even make a sound.
My mouth zipped in plain sight,
life constrained from reaching heights.
Heart overwhelmed with deep pains,
eyes discharge tears like heavy rains.
They're picking victims at random,
holding many destinies at ransom.
They tricked many into utter restraint,
presenting salt and sugar to be same.
Severe torture without complaints,
a reason we always appear insane.
Why should we be dying to live,
when we are actually living to die?
