LaShonda is a graduate of Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA and a graduate of Webster University in St. Louis, Mo., with a Masters of Art in Mental Health Counseling. 🎓✏️🍎🏫

She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida and a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Georgia. She is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional as well as Trauma Conscious Yoga 🧘🏿‍♀️Method Teacher. She is a trained Batterer’s Intervention Program Facilitator and a Certified Prepare and Enrich Facilitator.👫🏾👬🏾👭🏾

She is the author ✍️ 📖of The Longest Walk Home: My Journey of How I Survived Teen Dating Violence. A memoir of her life as a teenage victim of dating and domestic violence. She takes the readers on her journey; She went from being a blossoming, outgoing, and outspoken girl to being in constant fear for her life at the hands of a young man who could only express his love for her through violence. 🙌

LaShonda is a certified yoga 🧘🏽‍♀️🧘🏾‍♀️🧘🏿‍♀️🧘🏾‍♂️🧘🏾‍♂️🧘🏿‍♂️instructor (200hr) and creator of TRAP (Trauma Responses and Processing) through Yoga. Which she facilities after violent encounters in the Lincoln Park community.

She is a Veteran Military Police Officer of the United States Army💪🏾🖤👮🏾

Co-Founder and visionary of Lincoln Park Young Professionals (Fort Pierce Fl) community activist and activator. Rooted In Change, Inc. (nonprofit)

LaShonda is also the CEO and Lead Firearms🔫 Instructor at Sheer Tactical, LLC. Encouraging communities of color to be their own First Responders and to change the narrative around firearm use in the black communities.✊🏾🙅🏾🖤
