Bio
Sussan Deyhim is an Iranian American composer, vocalist, performance artist and activist. She is internationally known for creating a unique sonic and vocal language imbued with a sense of ritual and the unknown. Her music and vocal compositions have been a part of many high brow productions and film scores. In 1980, she moved to New York embarking on a multifaceted career encompassing music, theatre, dance, media and film.
She can be heard on the soundtracks of motion pictures, Argo, The Last Temptation of Christ and The Kite Runner and her collaborations include: Bobby McFerrin, Peter Gabriel, U2, Eve Ensler among others.
Her work has been presented by The Carnegie Hall, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Royce Hall and The Wallis among others.
