Bio

Sunny Tabler, attended Oberlin College and graduated triple major in Economics (Corporate Finance), Africana Studies and Jazz Percussion in 2015. While in college, she worked for the City of Cleveland’s Division of Taxation gaining knowledge on both individual and corporate tax laws as well as audit processes. Post-graduation, she accepted a position with a trucking firm in Cleveland where she was responsible for project budgets, projections, efficiency audits, financing, HR and payroll.

After leaving this firm, Sunny started her own consulting company assisting private companies with project management and efficiency solutions. She secured over $5 Million in grants and financing for start ups and not-for profits as well as over $12 Million in financing and over $8 Million in cost savings for small businesses.

In 2018, Sunny accepted a Commercial Underwriting position at a KeyBank. As a Commercial Underwriter she has gained knowledge on company analysis and a variety of funding requirements ranging from personal, private, franchise, standard C&I, SBA, public and not-for-profit lending.

As an involved community member, Tabler also serves multiple Boards. She is on the Board of Open Tone, a Nonprofit organization who’s mission is to support, develop and implement programs which focus on making music performance and music education accessible to youth. On the Board, she assists in making decisions on funding, project and partnership opportunities. The organization has recently entered a partnership with The Boys and Girls Club.

She also serves as Economic Development Coordinator on the Tutelo Nahyssan Tribal Council. In this role she has researched long term economic growth opportunities for Native American tribes in the United States and has collaborated with tribes through DOE programs as well as grant writing. The group is currently petitioning for Federal Recognition. She has assisted the Tutelo Nahyssan Tribal Nation in establishing 2 Nonprofit organizations, the Federal Creek Indian Organization of Ohio and RIEOSO, which manage and provide elderly and youth programs, grant writing services, fundraisers and other community events in areas of Southern Ohio.

Sunny is also an active investor and utilized her network to connect start ups with personnel that fit company culture, tech companies that can execute a founders vision and Angel Investors that can support growth.
