🌻 My debut novel, 'In Pursuit of Infidelity' (Rupa, 2009) catapulted me into the writing world. So far, I've written twelve books across genres including my latest, a handguide on single parenting.

🌻 I have a Master's degree in Human Rights; Post graduate diploma in Travel and Tourism Management and several other short training courses including one each on Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Expressive Art Therapy.

🌻Work - I began my career with a European Airline, SAS, shifting to a sea-side business resort in Singapore and finally found my calling in the development sector as a psychosocial trainer and a talk- therapist

🌻In 2019 I initiated a talk-therapy based platform, the Talk-It-Out- Express (TiOE). The aim of this platform is to enhance emotional health and wellbeing. Under TiOE I hold both large and small workshops and also provide individual counselling (talk-therapy).

🌻 Last year, I also started a virtual club under TiOE which has a presence outside of CH as well and is called the Talk Buddies Club (or TBC). The idea of this virtual club is to have meaningful and fun conversations and help people release pent-up emotions and in the process connect with like-minded friends or talk-buddies. ( Check out the TBC icon at the bottom of this page to join the club on CH) I'm also a podcaster and host a talkshow on Anchor/Spotify called 'Swan's Song- Celebrating Women's Creativity.'

🌻 Awards and Recognition

Received the 100 Women Faces 2018 award, instituted by Womennovator and COWE for my contribution to Indian literature.

Received the prestigious Karamaveer Chakra Award (2016 & 2019). The award is instituted by iCongo and the UN.

Recognised as one of the Women Achievers 2021 by Apeksha Sandesh News.

A3F Literary Award 2021 in the fiction category for my novel, 'The Temple Bar Woman.'

PVLF Author Excellence Award 2022 for my non fiction, 'Going Solo - Raising Happy Kids.'
